Whew! What a beautiful, challenging whirlwind the past few months have been! Here it is, the end of the month, and I just realized I haven’t written the slowdown series yet. Luckily, I give myself the grace to structure my little blog in a way that works with my life. No unrealistic, harsh expectations allowed here. This is a space of compassion and integration for all the different parts of my life.
For many of us who work corporate jobs, the time we spend at work can feel like it’s a completely different entity than the rest of our lives. We have our work day, and we have the rest of our day. The ultimate goal is to have a career that is so aligned that the separation between work and life almost disappears. But let’s be real: that’s just not the reality for many of us.
Feels Like Home
So this little bloggity blog is a place of respite for me. It feels like home. It’s a space that feels like me. A space where I’m free to be as feminine and wild and? “inconsistent” as I damn well please. This blog holds space as I cultivate being recklessly “me.” I am safe to bring all of myself to these pages.
I feel most aligned when I honor what is true for me. No external deadlines or pressures. No comparison or “shoulds.” My highest purpose is to serve and nurture all of you until you know your worth.
I want you to know in your bones that you deserve a deliciously slow, intentional life.
Allowing Space for Inspiration
It feels good to put my family first. To honor my self care, my career, and my responsibilities outside of this blog. But my oh my does it feel good to be back here writing! I’ve had a lot going on behind the scenes, and I just haven’t been able to prioritize writing lately.
For me, I know that when I take time away from writing to truly live life, I’ll return to a wellspring of inspiration. The words don’t dry up, if anything, they start overflowing. The more connected I am to the earth, myself, and the moments in my life, the more inspiration comes my way. The way to get more inspired is not to force yourself to plow through when it’s not working, but instead to leave space for creativity to enter.
We’re in This Thing Together
One of the reasons I created this blog was to hold myself accountable for staying aligned with my slow living values. I love having a place where we can explore these topics and principles together. We’re all doing our best, and we need to use our gifts to inspire others.
Practicing compassion for others is my strength, and I feel so blessed to be able to share that with all of you. Thank you for following along and being a part of this fun little journey of mine! I wish I could give all of you a big bear hug and thank you for your encouragement, kind words, and comments. I hope you feel all the love and good energy I’m sending your way!
